刷卡 的英文怎麼說?

最簡單的說法就是: scan the card on the card reader = 在刷卡機上感應卡片

scan token/card on the sensor = 在感應器上感應代幣或卡片

swipe a key card = 在刷卡機上刷卡(例如飯店房間的門、辦公室大門等)

swipe card (on the card reader) = 通常指真的有刷卡的動作(如由上而下或由左而右)

把卡放在讀卡機上面的動作(不需要有「刷」的動作) = hold card [over 或 up to] the card reader = hover card over the card reader = tap card to/on the card reader (通常指碰一下而已) = place card on the card reader

card reader 常常被 sensor 取代，因為 sensor 很廣泛的指任何一個感應器。

刷悠遊卡(例如在公車上) = hold your Easycard over the card reader = hold your Easycard up to the card reader = place your Easycard on the card reader

run card 有以上所有的意思，要看上下文決定。

Easycard = 悠遊卡

雖然悠遊卡不是用「刷」的，但我們還是常說「刷悠遊卡」，所以英文一樣也能用 swipe，老外也懂。

順道一提，brush your card 是錯誤的說法。
