關於 牛排 的英文翻譯

a la carte 雖然是法國引進的詞, 現在已成為英文的一部份. 平常在餐廳菜單上看到這個詞就表示單點菜的意思.

例如單點牛排就可以說 order the steak a la carte，如例句，當然，你也可以很簡單的說 order the steak only 或 order only the steak。

而速食店的「單點」可以直接用單點的東西的名稱，以下對話裡的B的意思是「你想要套餐還是單點」:

A: I'd like a Big Mac.
B: Do you want the combo or just the hamburger?

B也可以說:

B: Do you want the value meal or just the hamburger?

套餐 = 定食 = a set meal = 套餐最簡單的說法

有時候 meal 可以省略掉，例如:
