插口 的英文怎麼說?

這裡說的插孔指在電腦或電器裝置上的插孔，如附圖，附圖的插孔都是有孔在裡面的。

耳機插孔 = headphone port = headphone socket = 3.5mm aux input = earphone port = headphone input = 3.5 mm headphone socket

耳機插孔也可以說 3.5-mm headphone jack 或 phone jack，但必須有上下文來避免誤會，例如:

The iPhone 6 features a standard mini 3.5-mm headphone jack. The headphone jack is located on the bottom of the iPhone 6.

或

Plug your earphone into the phone jack to listen to the audio.

充電插孔 = charger port

外接式喇叭孔 = speaker input

port, input 跟 socket 可說是最普遍的英文。

另外，這類的插孔是固定在電腦或電器上的，所以用 jack 或 connector. 如果是有針在裡面的就是 male jack 或 male connector。如果是有孔在裡面的就是 female jack 或 female connector。

根據 IEEE STD 100 協會定義，jack 用在固定的插孔，plug 用在移動式的插頭，即使某些插孔的頭跟某些插頭的頭長得一模一樣!
